Minolta Vectis SF-1 - Hot-shoe clip-on flash - 28 (m) Overview

This is an original Minolta Vectis SF-1 flash unit, designed for the company's S-1 APS SLR camera. It's also suitable for many Minolta Dynax 35mm SLR cameras but not for the Minolta or Konica Minolta Dynax 30, Dynax 40 or Maxxum 50 cameras, or any Minolta, Konica Minolta or Sony Alpha digital cameras. Not suitable for the Vectis S-100, which has no external flash shoe. The flash provides fully automatic exposure in all modes (depending on the camera) including program, shutter priority and aperture priority, plus manual. Exposure is measured directly off the film (TTL) for the most accurate results possible. Auto fill in flash and slow shutter sync flash balance existing light and flash on most cameras. The guide number is 28 (meters, ISO 200), for a theoretical maximum range of up to 20m (65 feet) with ISO 200 film and an f/1.4 lens, or 7m (24 feet) with an f/4 lens. As with all flashes, actual range will depend on the conditions. Lenses as wide as 22mm (APS cameras) or 28mm (35mm cameras) can be used. A macro panel is provided for close up shots, down to 0.23m (9.1 inches). Built in autofocus illuminator projects a pattern onto the subject to allow focusing in low light. It's powered by two common 3V CR2 Lithium batteries (supplied). A great little flash for Minolta Vectis S-1 and many Dynax/Maxxum users.
